Up-cycling Allotment Style

From old boots to general household items, Allotments everywhere, have been recycling for generations and our Allotmenteers are no different, here are some examples:

Recycling montage; boat, boots, bed and wall clock

All at sea.

A rowing boat makes the perfect raised bed on plot No.2 for Jim and Donna. Time has been called on this little rower. The boat is jam packed full of flowers and herbs.

Old worn wellington boots.

These wellies are a perfect fit for Sid's strawberries at Plot No.14. Strawberries are a hardy plant, they just need regular watering. The fruits will hang gently over the top of the boots, for easy pickings by Sid's visiting grand children.

These climbers are bed ridden.

The masterpiece has to be the double-four-poster bed, donated to Jan on Plot No.15 earlier this year.

The bed, which wouldn't look out of place in the poshest of digs, has been turned into a splendid pergola now supporting a couple of thriving grape vines.
