Barclaycard Volunteers

Wharncliffe Allotments Members and Barclaycard Volunteers joined forces this week to help tidy-up an area of the allotment blighted by weeds and mares tail, an invasive deep-rooted perennial weed that spreads quickly, crowding out less vigorous plants.

Following a hard day of digging, weeding, skip filling and general tidying, Allotment Treasurer Kirsty Organised a BBQ, giving everyone a well deserved break, a chance to chat and enjoy some really good food and tasty home made cakes.
